PROJECT:
This illustration project is about establishing a personal relationship with the poems you will read and to discover how they might be relevant to your life. Read at least two poems from each of the WAMFEST poets below and create an illustration based on your reflection of the poetry and how it relates to Latinx Culture and Heritage. You may want to consider adding in the timely topic of Immigration if it relates to your vision. You can interpret the Wamfest Logo any way you like.

Paula Nieves is a poet out of Newark, NJ and Ysabel Gonzalez, also of Newark, is both a poet and the current assistant director of the Dodge Poetry Festival.
