Students were asked to choose a style from the postmodern era of graphic design and to create a collage based on that style: punk, retro, decorative eclecticism, hip-hop, or techno to name a few. They also wrote a one page description of their collage and how it represented an interpretation of their chosen style. They were given the choice to make it on the computer or by hand, and it could be about any subject. As postmodernism had political and theoretical aspects, the viewer will see an interesting mix of ideas, some more contemporary and some from the postmodern era.
